Our residential summer camp program was transformational! Our counselors guided campers in building their camp 'ohana through fun field games, team building exercises, kayaking, ziplining, conquering the challenge course, swimming, and even silly activities like nalgene face, wacky water wednesday, and campfires. Campers formed friendships within their cabins and age groups as well as the whole camp!
With the help of our amazing chaplains, we were able to learn about The Way of Love and how with the Spirit of Aloha we can turn towards God, learn His ways, talk with Him through prayer, bless others, and go back home full of love and a sense of community. - Lynea Mitchell, Assistant Director, Camp Mokulē'ia |

It was a picture-perfect day that included the commissioning of the 2022 camp staff, followed by a brunch.
Trinity Sunday also marked the beginning of the first of four on-site summer camps that was held June 12-17, for three age groups: Elementary, Middle School, and Senior High. Returning Camp Chaplain Fr. Mark Haworth, started off each day with a morning gathering of reading scripture and to talk about the day’s theme. The daily themes were part of curriculum put together by Camp Mokulē'ia Board President, Canon Heather Patton-Graham, based on Presiding Bishop Curry’s practice on The Way of Love.
Fr. Hau'oli Tomoso from Maui provided the ʻōlelo Hawai'i translation of Bishop Curry’s practices on The Way of Love. (Click on the image to view a larger version.) Part of the chaplain’s duties throughout camp week was participating in the Praise Band for the morning and evening gatherings which consisted of roof-raising songs! Campers' favorites included earworms entitled “My Lighthouse” and “The Mango Song.”
